He worked in the Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower, Occupational Safety and Health Division from 2010 to 2015, serving under 3 different Minsters in charting the way forward in Workplace Safety and Health in Singapore. Some of his achievements are listed below

In Ministry of Manpower

  • Direct the development and implementation of the Noise Induced Deafness Prevention Programme (NIDPP), a national OH programme to prevent and control noise hazards at workplace.
  • Bring about a change in mindset, in many of his more than 500 audit inspections in various industries, on how many companies view and manage a wide range of occupational hygiene hazards

In ChemtechSEI

  • Represented ChemTech SEI in the working group committee to revise and review the Singapore Standards in workplace noise control
  • Develop comprehensive safety and health management systems and auditing assistance programme for many SMCs and MNCs alike, helping them achieve prestigious certification, like the ISO 14001 and the 18001
  • Registered with Ministry of Manpower Singapore as WSH Officer, registration no. 028-073-04861
  • Application pending approval with Ministry of Manpower Singapore as WSH Auditor
  • Fully ACTA (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment), with course devlopment capabilities
  • Coach more than 500 graduates on how to conduct workplace noise assessment and competently submit noise monitoring reports for vetting and approval, since 2013, with CET Academy at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, PACE Academy at Singapore Polytechnic and independent CET Academy, ESIS Asia Pacific
  • Share with close to 400 different WSH professionals on how to control excessive noise at the workplace through low cost and easily available resources to control noise at the workplace,  with CET Academy at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, PACE Academy at Singapore Polytechnic and independent CET Academy, ESIS Asia Pacific
  • Initiate a refresher training course for all noise compete persons to attend to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest technology, as well as continuous learning
  • Develop and train WSH Level C core module in Managing WSH in Chemical Process Industries, one of the major pillars of the Singapore economy, in collaboration with CET Academy at Ngee Ann Polytechnic
